The span dimension "A" refers to the minimum and maximum distance between two soldering iron tips when using the three insertion methods of TALON.
The TATC series tweezer type soldering iron tip is a specialized soldering iron tip for the tweezer shaped handle MX-TALON-01, currently available in two temperature series: 500 and 600. Its unique chamfer design gives it greater adaptability and versatility, for example: you can repair 28 pin SOIC chips, tantalum capacitors, and 0603 devices without replacing the soldering iron tip. It should be noted that during operation, please ensure good contact between the pins and the soldering iron tip to achieve better thermal conductivity.
Each Metcal soldering iron tip is specially designed to efficiently transfer energy, which means you can typically use a Metcal soldering iron to perform normal soldering at temperatures 100F or lower than regular soldering irons. In most cases, the 500 series soldering iron tip can perform the job well.
